Our in-store experts are passionate about the outdoors and love nothing more than getting out there and making the most of it. When it comes to helping others discover the outdoors, they’ve been there and done it and know what a difference having the right kit can make to both you and the planet. You’ll find friendly, knowledgeable experts like Aileen, Szabi, Magda and Tom in all of our stores, so read on for a taste of what the outdoors means to them and what they are doing to help protect it for future generations.

______

Having spent most of her life enjoying the outdoors, Aileen discovered its true healing power after the loss of her husband 7 years ago. Shifting her focus, she left a successful career to join us at Cotswold Outdoor and has never looked back. Aileen has a real sense of adventure and Snowdonia National Park holds a special place in her heart. A firm believer in the value of looking after and maintaining your kit to make sure it performs and lasts, the only thing she loves as much as being outdoors is helping our customers to do the same.

______

Couple Szabi and Magda manage different Cotswold Outdoor stores in London. Originally from Eastern Europe – Madga from Poland and Szabi from Hungary – they've lived in the UK for over 10 years. Both love the freedom of being alone in nature and decided to make the UK their home after experiencing the stunning wilderness of the Scottish Highlands. As well as hiking and wild camping, they enjoy taking part in challenges that push their limits. Always looking to help people make better choices and take care of their kit, they love making sure our customers find the right kit and the right fit for their own adventures.

______

Being outdoors has been Tom’s passion from a young age, and he always knew he wanted a career that incorporated his love for adventure. Now the manager of our Harrogate store, he loves that this allows him to escape to the Yorkshire Dales at a moment’s notice. Tom is also a Mountain Rescue volunteer, scout leader and qualified mountain leader so spends much of his spare time sharing his skills with others. He believes that by instilling a passion and respect for the outdoors in people, we can help reduce our environmental impact and enjoy the outdoors to the fullest.
