Membership organisations need to make sure they protect the interests of their members, and the BMC does that magnificently.
Members of the BMC, including climber and hill walkers, have told the BMC that their most important role is maintaining access to hills, mountains and cliffs and ensuring their conservation.
As such the BMC works closely with rural communities, and their charity, the Access & Conservation Trust (ACT), funds footpath restoration, conservation events and information sharing. This is hugely important if we want to keep the places we love beautiful and healthy.
