#DoOneThing for Earth Day, Thursday 22nd April 2021

Over the last year, our natural landscapes have seen increased footfall as many of us have enjoyed these spaces as an escape from lockdown. We’re thrilled to see so many people enjoying the outdoors, and it’s important to make sure we explore in a responsible and sustainable way so we don’t cause damage to the places we love.

We’ve teamed up with The British Mountaineering Council (BMC) this Earth Day to celebrate the diverse natural landscapes across the UK and ROI.  We’re focusing on the ways we can help protect and maintain them to ensure they remain thriving and beautiful for everyone to enjoy.

Click here to read our blog and find out more about the unique characteristics of these diverse landscapes, and how you can walk or camp in each of them more sustainably. You can also find out more about how The BMC have transformed over 8,000 acres of peat moors across the Peak District, and what this means for the planet, with our BMC Climate Project blog. Finally, follow here to read our explainer on each of the sustainability filters you’ll find on our shopping pages to help you make more planet-friendly purchases.

Find out about our mission to change the fabric of outdoor retailing

For us, the outdoors is everything. It’s work, it’s play, it’s in our DNA. Put simply, we’d be lost without it. That’s why we want to do everything we can to look after it for generations to come. How? By minimising our impact on the environment, actively protecting the places we love, and helping everyone to enjoy the outdoors in a sustainable way. We’re working towards a more circular economy that’s better for the great outdoors and everyone who enjoys exploring it, too. Read more.
