From relaxed fits to athletic cuts in a rainbow of colours and prints, there’s a t-shirt for every plan—whether you’re on the trail, out exploring, or just heading into town.
Look for moisture-wicking fabrics, breathability, and quick-drying properties. Lightweight materials like polyester or merino wool are ideal, while flatlock seams reduce chafing. For sun protection, consider t-shirts with UPF ratings. These features ensure comfort and performance on the trail.
Long-sleeve shirts provide added sun protection and shield against scratches or insects, making them ideal for rugged trails or sunny conditions. However, short-sleeve t-shirts are better suited for hot weather due to increased ventilation and freedom of movement.
A hiking t-shirt should fit comfortably without being too tight or loose. A snug fit improves moisture-wicking performance, while a slightly relaxed fit allows airflow and layering flexibility. Ensure freedom of movement in the shoulders and arms for active use.
For hot weather, choose lightweight synthetic fabrics like polyester or blends with TENCEL®, as they wick moisture effectively and dry quickly. Merino wool is also a great option due to its breathability and natural odour resistance, even in warm conditions.
