Ayacucho & Solid International

Designed For Generations: The Ayacucho Collection & Solid International

Since 2009, we have been proud to be a part of the amazing work that not-for-profit organisation Solid International are doing in Ayacucho, Peru. We give 1% of the profits from every item sold in the Ayacucho collection to Solid International, who use 100% of that money to fund projects in Ayacucho, one of the poorest regions of Peru.

Solid International have been working with the people of Ayacucho since 2004. Their aim is simple: they want to improve the living conditions of the people living in Ayacucho. To achieve this they combine social and commercial projects, all focussed on long-term, sustainable development that benefit the people of the region, and will eventually afford them economic independence.

Solid International are currently working on lots of projects in Ayacucho. These include:

Supporting local agriculture and entrepreneurship by helping farmers and teaching in schools

Providing counsel and shelter to young mothers and their children

Improving health by working with families to create healthier living conditions

Creating employment for the women of Ayacucho that pays a fair wage – the Manta project is where some of the hats and scarves from the Ayacucho collection are knitted, and another project, Familias Saludables, is where the Christmas baubles that we sell are handmade

With your help, we can continue to support Solid International in their incredible work. Thank you for your continued support.
