Mountain Equipment History

Mountain Equipment is a British outdoor clothing brand that was founded in 1961. It started as a small climbing and mountaineering manufacturer in the High Peak, Derbyshire, and has grown into a leading provider of outdoor clothing and equipment. Over the last 60 years, Mountain Equipment has been tried and tested in every imaginable mountain environment, from severe Scottish Winter ascents to the grandest Himalayan peaks, and everything in between.

It is because of this expertise, alongside their unwavering commitment to excellence, that Mountain Equipment continues to be found on the backs, of climbers and mountaineers the world over.
