Pentland Hills, Edinburgh

A superb, scenic circular walk over the Pentland Hills of Scald Law, Carnethy Hill and Turnhouse Hill. You’ll soon forget about the steep climbs as you take in the incredible panoramic views.

Cairnsmore of Fleet, Galloway
Length: 11.5miles Walking Time: 6 Hours Difficulty: Strenuous
Starting point: Car Park near Muirfad
An upland walk over Cairnsmore of Fleet and its smaller neighbour Meikle Multaggart near Newton Stewart. You’ll head through forests and over mountain, providing many stunning vantage points.

Starting point: William Streey, Tayport, Fife
This walk was made for wildlife lovers. Treading through woodland, roaming over sand dunes and through marram grass, there are plenty of opportunities to spot roe deer, red squirrels, seals and many birds.

Starting point: Beach Leisure Centre Car Park, Abereen
This circular walk explores both the Old Town and New Town, passing many of Aberdeen’s most loved landmarks, including St Machar’s Cathedral, the Town House and Marischal College. You’ll also enjoy a stretch along Aberdeen Beach, allowing you to soak up the fantastic views along the Aberdeenshire coastline.

Arthur’s Seat is a dramatic dollop of Scottish wilderness rising unexpectedly from the heart of Edinburgh. There may be a steep climb to the top, but on a clear day you’ll be rewarded with views over the entire Scottish capital and beyond.
